Today it seems like many hotels are simply clones of one another. You can go to one hotel in Los Angeles one week and then go to the same hotel in Cleveland the next. Hotels are going the same way that it seems the rest of the world is going - toward sameness. However, one can still find uniqueness in boutique hotels. These hotels allow one to have a special lodging experience. These hotels often are themed. They may include themes like romance, adventure, or popular culture. Other boutique hotels may be related to the city where they are located. In popular culture, a popular boutique "type" is the "love theme" boutique. In many TV shows, movies, and cartoons characters can be seen staying in boutique hotels with romantic themes. An associated image with these hotels is the heart-shaped hot tub. Other features include individually-themed rooms to go along with the romantic theme of the hotel. Other hotels are designed to fit with the destination that they are closest to. For instance, a theme park may have a hotel that is not part of a larger hotel chain but rather themed to match the park. Tropical locations may have tropical-themed hotels. Many different possibilities exist. These hotels can also be very trendy. Many big cities have them, and they may be on the rise. A lot of creativity and modern design can go into these lodgings, as they do not need to fit any sort of corporate guidelines. They can simply be what the owner wants them to be. So why would one want to go to a boutique hotel? Well, how often does one really treasure the memory of a particular hotel? Not often, as many hotels have boring rooms, and just look like all of the others. However, staying at a boutique hotel can be a great experience in itself. Instead of only remembering the trip, you can also have fond memories of your lodgings. |
